We have opportunities available state-wide.

Alternative Family Living (AFL) at Turning Point Services, Inc. offers the merging of professional skills and a long term commitment.  “Alternative” means that for whatever reason, someone with an intellectual and/or developmental disability is no longer able to live in the natural home.  The next best living arrangement for many is simply another home.  Each individual is matched with a “family” who has demonstrated the professional skills and home environment that has been qualified and certified to promote learning and safety.

If you are interested in becoming an AFL for a child or for more than 1 adult, your home must pass an inspection from the State and become licensed. As you go through the process of becoming an AFL, someone from Turning Point Services, Inc. can assist you with identifying what needs to be done to your home and obtaining a license.

AFLs with 1 adult in the home are considered unlicensed but still must be reviewed. Follow the link below to see the requirements of this review. Again, someone from Turning Point Services, Inc. can assist you with this process.
